The self-serve area at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre is known as the Chalet, offering a casual and efficient dining experience for visitors eager to continue their adventures. This cafeteria-style eatery features a variety of freshly prepared hot items, allowing guests to customize their meals to their preferences.

The Chalet's menu includes a selection of soups, burgers, and main dishes. Soups such as Moroccan Vegetable and Chicken Corn Chowder are served with garlic bread. The burger station offers options like the Beef Burger with Alberta beef, Chicken Burger, and a Vegan Burger. Main dishes feature items like Butter Chicken with rice and Red Thai Curry. Sides and snacks include fries, poutine, and chicken fingers. For beverages, guests can choose from fountain drinks, hot drinks like coffee and tea, and a selection of local beers and wines.
