Columbia Icefield Family Dining

The Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre offers family-friendly dining options that combine convenience with breathtaking views of the surrounding glaciers.

Altitude Restaurant

For a sit-down meal, Altitude Restaurant provides full table service with Canadian-inspired, locally sourced cuisine. Guests can enjoy dishes like Alberta lamb and Arctic char while taking in panoramic glacier vistas from the dining room or outdoor patio. A dedicated children's menu ensures that younger diners are well catered to. Altitude serves breakfast from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM and dinner from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM during the operating season, which runs from early May to mid-October.

Chalet

For a more casual dining experience, the Chalet offers a self-serve setup with freshly prepared hot items. The menu includes options like burgers, chicken fingers, butter chicken, and vegetarian chili, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. Chalet operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM between May 20 and September 30, with adjusted hours during the shoulder seasons.

Starbucks

For those seeking familiar coffee and snack options, a Starbucks is available within the Discovery Centre. It's perfect for a quick grab-and-go before or after exploring the Icefield.
